In 2006, Michael was commissioned to write The White Album by Nottingham Playhouse. Borrowing the structure of The Beatles’ album, the narrative follows the journey of the needle from the Maharishi to the Manson Family. It is the story of the needle of the record player and the needle a Beatles fanatic uses to kill himself. Toured to The Playbox, Warwick and Santa Monica Playhouse, LA. Won the 2007 Nottingham Creative Business Award for Writing.
