In 2006, Michael created an installation with an amateur dramatics group's stage. The stage was installed unassembled in an empty theatre space. Stage directions from the first acts of the plays performed on the stage were recorded with silences where there were lines. The words that were never meant to be heard. A site-specific project as part of practice as research into absence and presence for a Masters degree at Nottingham Trent University.
