In 2007, Michael was invited to work with Reckless Sleepers as a dramaturg on a new performance piece exploring notions of pretending. Two men are pretending. Two men are pretending to be pilots. Two men are pretending to be George Michael and Andrew Ridgely in Club Tropicana pretending to be pilots. The Pilots was selected for the British Council's Edinburgh Showcase 2009.
