In 2011, Michael worked with Neal Swettenham to attempt to explain how to write a play, despite the constant interruptions of Deep Trance Behavior in Potatoland, a film by American avant-garde theatre-maker, Richard Foreman. Their performance drew on Foreman’s writings about theatre and was commissioned by Radar at Loughborough University for an event exploring the mode of the performance lecture.
